Craig Sheehy, MOM, must be congratulated on his couragious effort wherby, & after receiving a rather nasty hit to the right eye/temple area when on 6 no, he retired hurt, went to the doctor’s surgery, had 8 stitches inserted to the wound, then returned to once again continue batting at the fall of the 2nd last wicket.  He bravely proceeded (with a helmet this time) to push the team (his total to 30 no) to a winning total & ensure the team used up the 60 overs allowed.    The Bangor Tavern team must also be congratulated for the ovation given to Craig on the resumption of his innings.   A real ”SPORTING GESTURE”  that, as Richie would say, & a  great team spirit shown by Craig when most others would have probably wimped out.   Lofty.
