Round No.3 saw six of our junior teams victoroius, but the story for our senior teams wasn’t as good with only one win from the seven matches played. At these early stages of the season our B5, 16C, 12A and 10A sides still remain undefeated.

The main highlight of this round came from Club legend Drew Lake taking 4 for 59 which included a hat trick. Because the new MyCricket program only details performances of 50 runs and 5 wickets or more in it’s ‘Hall of Fame’ it doesn’t reflect all good player contributions to their teams. The Club would like to acknowledge the following for their efforts this round – Corey Moors (16A) 48, Hamish Jacka (16A) 47, Luke Ritchie (14A) 42 not out, Lachlan McKenzie (12A) 41 not out, Beau Wallace (14D) 37 not out, Charlie Te Hira (14D) 31 not out, Seth O’Keefe 26 not out, Connor Ganderton (10A) 25 not out, Jared Caspersonn (14D) 25 not out, Harry Long (16C) 3 for 5, Ollie Kenedy (16C) 3 for 5 and James Touma (16A) 3 for 43.

Congratulations to ex-Dragons junior Nick Amos who on Saturday October 14, 2017 became Sutherland District Grade Cricket Club’s 1st grade player number 269. It was fitting that Nick received his cap from ex-Dragons junior and 1st Grade Captain Ben Dwarshius. In the previous weekend Nick made his debut in the Sutherland Poidevin-Gray Shield team. This is a great achievement for a player in only his second season of playing grade cricket.
