Bill played senior cricket and helped coach junior teams. In one particular season, Bill and Geoff Goodman combined to coach an under 16 team in the morning and then the same boys would join them in the afternoon and play seniors. Bill has been the Club's property officer since 1987/88.

Over the years Bill has been one of the hardest working members of the club. A phenomenal individual fundraiser with an unparalleled record for selling raffle tickets. If there is a work to be done he is always there. Bill was made a Life Member in 1998 and the "Senior Rookie of the Year" Trophy was named in his honour.

His son Greg, started playing with the club as an under 10 in 1983/84. Greg is one of the club's long playing members and in 2008 will complete 25 consecutive years of playing service. Bill's brother, Ross, also coached junior teams within the club and was the Secretary for 3 seasons (1988/89 to 90/91). He was also the Club Sportsman of the Year in 1991/92.

Ross made a return to cricket in the 1998/99 season to play alongside his son, Beau, in the successful premiership winning C1 team. Beau is another former club junior who after a break returned to senior cricket in 1997/98. In 1998/99 he was the leading wicket taker in the C1 Premiership team and was named "Senior Club Champion".
