The Engadine Dragons Cricket Club has a prestigious history spanning 49 years. During this time, we are honoured to have the following individuals as life members.

  • Barry McManus (1966) (Dec'd)
  • Harry Robbins asm (1978)
  • Ray Noakes (1980) (Dec'd)
  • Col Keenan (1982)

Col, a descendant of one of the early families to settle in Engadine, was one of the mainstays of the club in the 1970's, before moving to Byron Bay. He was a fearless and stubborn opening batsman and was a member of our original senior team.

He held positions as President and Secretary and coached boy's teams in lower grades, taking on teams that had problems in securing coaches. He was a tireless worker for the club and his efforts are remembered with gratitude by those who were associated with him during those years.

In recognition of his services he was awarded Life Membership in 1981. He also has been honoured with the club naming the "Junior Division Bowler Performance Award" trophy after him in 1997
