10C MATCH REPORT – Game 1

After a couple of training sessions that the boys had really shown commitment in I was very confident of a good performance and I was proven to be right in the first game.

We bowled excellent and fielded well on the first day putting the other team under pressure. We had 3 run outs by Jackson, Cameron & Jacob and two top catches by Rithik. Harrison, Andrew, Sean, Jye & Liam all displayed some fantastic bowling, each taking a wicket. Seth and James bowled well too but were unlucky not to take a wicket. It was a good overall team performance with the other team all out for 92 runs at stumps.

The following week was just as pleasing when it was our turn to bat. Sean and Liam got us off to a good start opening the batting. They were followed by a top partnership from Cameron and Jacob both retiring 26 and 25 not out. Their running between wickets was very good. Then we followed up with some really good batting from Jye, Seth and James to finish with a total 157 with Jye not out on 18.

It was a great performance to start the season from everyone. Well done boys!
