This was the first game of cricket for most of the boys and it was very promising. We became stage struck at different times but the indications were there that we are close to a win.

We won the toss and batted first. Marley and Koby gave us a good start and completed there overs without been dismissed. Nick, Sean, Riley and Luke Tripi also were able to bat through there overs without dismissal.Nick top scored just in front of Marley. When our time came to bowl we restricted the Magpies well until the last couple of overs. The boys tired in the hot sun and our fielding fell away. Nick, Nathan, Marley, Koby and Luke Taylor took wickets and Josh , Samuel and Spence bowled very economically, All the boys worked hard in the field throwing themselves around stopping balls. There are some mums that wont be pleased when the whites are put in the wash.
