With four players away over the 2 weeks of round five I was unsure of how we would go. Once again, however, the boys played very well to take another victory.

Thank you to Reece and Blake for helping us out. You boys were fantastic and big contributors in the game. Reece took a wicket and Blake helped the team with his batting the first week followed by some good bowling in the second week. He was unlucky not to take a wicket. Thank you also Michelle for organising them to play.

In the first week it was pleasing to see the batting improvement for some of the boys who stepped up because some of our players were away. These boys had their best innings so far this year to finish with a score Total 139. Sean was 20n/o, Liam 10, Jack 8, and Andrew another fine innings 26n/o (Andrew hasn’t been out all year). Rithik & Cameron made a good contribution to the first weeks total before going away.

In the second week we once again bowled really well getting through our opposition’s top order. We were a bit unlucky not to take even more wickets as everyone tried hard in the field but we put down some catches. Good figures from Harrison 1-6 & Seth 0-7 unlucky not to get a wicket. It was the best bowling I have seen from Liam 1-12 & Jacob 2-7 all year. Keep up the good work. James was great in the field and Jye bowled some good figures 0-7 off 3 overs.

I can see a great improvement and a fantastic team spirit from all of you boys. Keep it up!
