Round 5 - 5 for 148 defeated St Pats 7 for 62

A great win by the boys - our best game of the season thus far.

Whilst our bowling has been good all season, our weakness has been scoring enough runs to post competitive totals - but this was certainly changed over this match.

Of the six pairs that batted, five of them had a net score of 20 or more. Certainly the highlight of the batting this match was Daniel who scored 42 runs off the bat, including 7 boundaries - sensational effort Daniel, keep it up. He combined with Hunter for a 45 run partnership, whilst Ben Grimison hit 22 runs, and with Jonah's 10 runs they combined for a 40 run partnership. Other notable efforts included Scott's 14 runs, Josh Holt scored 12 runs and Joel & Josh Gersback's quick running which, when combined with a wayward throw (or two), resulted in them running a FIVE!! Run Forrest Run!!

Bowling wise, the star was Hunter who took 3 for 7 from his three overs - well done Hunter. Other wicket takers were Daniel (1 for 7) and Ben Grimison (1 for 23). In the field, Joel took a good catch whilst Daniel and Harry both effected great run outs. The boys fielded well, keeping their concentration going in the hot weather, not taking their eyes off the ball and backing up well.

Here's hoping we can carry on the good form into the two games before Xmas - keep training hard, listen to Nick, and most of all, enjoy the game and have fun.
