Engadine 2/99 beat Aquinas 7/68
The girls played exceptionally well again this match, with no batting partnerships below 20 runs and losing only 2 wickets, this is a great achievement by all. Girls, your batting has improved immensely since the beginning of the year and is now showing in our results.
The bowling was probably the most rewarding part of this game for me as we witnessed Zoe claiming her first ever wicket after undoubtedly her best bowling of the year, well done Zoe. Kelsey bowled like a woman possessed and totally ripped the hearts out of the boys from Aquinas with 3 wickets in her first over with the loss over only 1 run. Emily, Rebekah and Mikayla also chimed in for a wicket each to help seal the match.
Our fielding is probably the best in the comp as we are the only team that walks in with bowler and is constantly backing up the throws, which is aided by Gabby’s constant chant, "walking in:. We just need to get our first catch for the season and that will be a perfect Christmas present for the coach.
It’s not long now until Santa comes, so on behalf of Chris and myself we wish you a happy and safe Christmas holiday and we can’t wait to see you in the New Year.
