This round was the local derby with the Engadine boys up against the Engadine girls. The boys were behind on the scoreboard but played some good cricket getting 10 wickets, including 4 run outs. The second week was played in some wet and muddy conditions and the boys mums will have a great time this week cleaning the boys whites. The highlights for this game were as follows:

Beau played with a nice straight bat and defended some good bowling to keep his wicket. Beau continues to improve his bowling and is active in the field.

Ryan’s clothes were an impressive black after making some great saves at wicket keeper. We won’t say that his sister bowled him out, but he almost hit the next ball he faced off her for four. Ryan also bowled some nice deliveries.

Austin made a terrific run out after having only one stump to aim at. He also was close with a run out at distance in the first week. So if Austin has the ball, its best not to run.

Adam hit some good shots with the bat and also bowled a lot of straight deliveries. Its amazing how far such a little guy can hit the ball. Adam ran a close second to Ryan for getting the dirtiest.

Daniel hit some good shots with the bat and bowled some great deliveries to get two wickets. Daniel was also alive in the field, looking to take the stumps or back up his team mates.

Jesse bowling was straight at the stumps and he was rewarded with a wicket this game. Jesse fielded well, keeping his eye on the game and supporting his teammates.

Joshua tried to knock the opposing coach over a few times with his bowling and with a few jokes. Josh bowls a bit like Max Walker and the ball inevitably hits the pitch after takeoff. Josh bowled well and hit some good shots.

Luke bowled and fielded well and was rewarded with 3 wickets and a run out. Luke won this games Encouragement Award.

Good game boys!
