The boys played some excellent cricket this game and continue to enjoy themselves. This game was the best that the boys have bowled and fielded. The team got 10 wickets, including 6 run outs. The batting was also good to watch, with 3 players getting their highest scores. The individual highlights for the game were as follows:

Beau showed terrific determination every time he ran into bowl and bowled great again. Beau won the Encouragement Award for congratulating his team mates when they got a wicket and for backing up the stumps when a team mate was throwing at the stumps.

Joshua has started to play with a nice straight bat and is using his feet well. Josh got his highest score with some great shots and he also got a wicket with the ball.

Jesse had a great stint at wicket keeper, keeping his eye on the game and making sure that nothing passed him. Jesse hit a nice shot for two when batting and fielded very well.

Daniel was menacing with the ball, putting fear into opposition batsmen and he picked up a wicket. Daniel hit some nice shots and gave terrific support to his mates in the field.

Adam bowled really well and gave himself every chance of getting a wicket by pitching the ball right up. The highlight for me was his run out from distance in week 2. Adam blasted a few shots with bat.

Austin was on the prowl again this game and you guessed it, he made another run out! Austin also got his highest score with some nice shots and fast running between the wickets.

Ryan has a touch of class about him and when he connects to a cover drive you just feel like clapping. Ryan also bowled great, pitching the ball up and was within a whisker of picking up a wicket.

Luke had a great game, making his highest score and picking up a couple of wickets and two run outs. Luke did a good job at wicket keeper.

Well done to Austin, Adam, Daniel and Joshua for fielding for the opposition in week 1. The boys got their team mates out three times – two runs outs and great wicket keeper catch by Daniel.

Great game boys!
