Robbie was awarded his Life Membership for not only his dedication to coaching our juniors’ but also for his work on the Management Committee.
At the conclusion of the 2010/11 season Robbie has coached for our Club for twelve consecutive seasons. Not that results matter but Robbie’s record is second to none with six premierships and four runners up.

Robbie has also been an active member of our Club’s Management Committee holding down the unenvious position of Promotions and Advertising Officer for four seasons, unofficially five. Robbie has also held the position of Club Coach for two seasons and initiated and co-ordinated the school visits that have been so effective in driving our registrations.

The below quote from Club President Gordon Scott in his 2003/04 Year Book Report sums up the passion Robbie puts into his work for our Club – “Another club stalwart needs special mention. Robbie Knight. Not only does he play in the senior competition for the club, he also coached the 12A’s who narrowly missed being premiers, this year Robbie walked the streets of Engadine and obtained few thousand dollars sponsorship from local businesses for the club. No one asked him to do it; he just did it of his own free will for our club. Heaps and heaps of thanks Robbie from everyone involved with the Dragons”.
